Paediatrics

Paediatrics is a specialty which provides expert diagnosis, treatment and care for infants, children and young people.

Sub-specialties practiced in the NT:

  • General Paediatrics

  • Neonatal and perinatal medicine

  • Paediatric cardiology

  • Paediatric emergency medicine

  • Paediatric endocrinology

  • Paediatric infectious diseases

Prerequisites

  • Current registration as a medical practitioner in Australia or New Zealand

  • Completion of post graduate year 1

  • Current appointment to basic physicians training position (RACP)

  • Secure employment as a Junior Medical Doctor
